After 21 years of aspiring to be an Influencer, my time has come. I’m not ashamed to admit that I grew up pretending I was an Influencer, vlogging my life, and yes, talking to myself. I came out of the womb, documenting my life and sharing my thoughts. This side of me grew in Elementary School when I watched my first juicystar07 video. Then came macbarbie07… and the list goes on. Once I saw one of their videos, I was hooked. Now here I am, not a vlogger, but a ✨blogger✨.

I’m studying at SFU with a major in Communication and a Minor in Publishing. However, it wasn’t always this way. I originally began my school journey at UVic studying Business. I went there for 2 years, struggling to do my classes and hating every second of them. UVic was my dream school, and I thought if I could get into Business, then I could do it. Boy was I wrong.

I don’t regret my decision because I learned a lot, and I believe everything happens for a reason. To be completely honest, I never wanted to go to SFU and it was always my last choice. I wanted the university experience and UVic gave me that, but when I realized I needed to make a change, UVic didn’t have Communication. My only option was SFU. I had to make a sacrifice and put my academics first, and it ended up being one of the best decisions I have made. This program ended up being so much better for me and has allowed me to study what I am passionate about, which makes all the difference.

Dear Diary has given me the opportunity to engage with all my interests and put them in one place. From favourites to least favourites, and everything in between. All things books, music, tv shows/movies, food, and activities. These are the things that get me through life. Whether I like these things or not, the experience makes everything count.
