Trevor came in this week to talk about marketing and monetization. Shout out to Trevor, he is the best.

What I found interesting was the segment at the end, when he looked at our websites and told us ideas of how we can make money from it. This got me thinking… How would I make money off my site? I didn’t have to think too hard because I quickly realized that there were many things I could do, very similar to the influencers I know and love.

Affiliate Marketing:

• Join affiliate programs related to the products or services I review. Include affiliate links in my reviews, and earn a commission for every sale generated through those links.

Sponsored Content:

• Partner with brands for sponsored content. Companies could pay me to write reviews or create content featuring their products. I would ensure that sponsored content aligns with my niche and maintains transparency with my audience.

Ad Revenue:

• Use ad networks like Google AdSense to display relevant ads on my blog.

Product Giveaways and Contests:

• Collaborate with brands to host product giveaways or contests. This not only adds value to my readers but can also attract sponsorship from companies looking to promote their products through my blog.

Sell Merchandise:

• Create and sell branded merchandise related to my blog.

Membership or Subscription:

• Introduce a membership or subscription model for premium content. Offer exclusive reviews, in-depth analyses, or early access to content for subscribers who pay a monthly or yearly fee.

Consulting Services:

• Leverage my expertise to offer consulting services. This could include providing personalized product recommendations, offering guidance on product usage, or assisting individuals in making informed purchasing decisions.

Subscription Boxes or Curated Lists:

• Create subscription boxes or curated lists of recommended products. Charge a fee for the subscription or for access to the curated list, offering added value to my audience.

Event Sponsorship:

• Host events related to my niche, and seek sponsorship from relevant companies. This could include product launch events, review showcases, or industry-related gatherings.

When implementing these strategies, it’s essential to maintain my model of transparent and honest reviews. I would disclose any affiliate relationships, sponsored content, or other monetization methods to build trust..
